RT 2006 Photos
Y'all may remember my mentioning a fabulous site for romance readers & authors called Romance: B(u)y the book. I got to meet Michelle Buonfiglio. What a sweetie!! Yes, I'm biased because I loved her review of Jane Millionaire, but she really is a wonderful person and a great advocate for the romance genre...and she's gorgeous to boot.
Gerri Russell won the American Title Two contest & this is her awesome cover & fab Sr. Editor Chris Keesler!
The American Title Two finalists, Liz, Faygie, & Carol from RT, & me at breakfast on Friday morning at the Mai Tai bar.
Janice with fabulous Dorchester author Cindy Holby!
Two hot biker babes...okay, so it's really American Title Two winner Gerri Russell & myself disguised as two hot biker babes, but come on, who can tell the difference?? (VBG!)
Have I mentioned how much fun I had at the Dorchester party??? It was such a blast. We closed the par-tee down that night!!! & how!!!
Debra Parmley, Gerri Russell, Michele Young, & moi dressed up for the Dorchester biker/rock & roll party. Yes, those chaps did come off after about 30 minutes of dancing.
Okay, so I have lots more pics I want to share with you & I'll post them later since this post is getting a bit long. Catch ya soon!

Last day at the Beach
Y'all have probably heard by now, but Gerri Russell won the American Title II contest. Her cover is gorgeous! Dorchester does awesome covers!! I'll post a picture of her cover later this week as I don't have means to do so here at the hotel. :(
The booksigning was fun yesterday. I didn't have a sell out, but did sell quite a few books. Plus I met some wonderful readers, booksellers, & fellow writers. Michelle Buonfiglio who did the Romance: B(u)y the Book review for me on NBC was there & absolutely adorable! Just as I pictured. I'll get a picture of she & I on later this week, too.
Oh! I got to meet Deidre Knight! That was very cool. Although a client of The Knight Agency, I'd never met Deidre or Pamela. Deidre & her family were here so Deidre could sign her awesome Parallel Attraction. I'll get to meet Pamela in a couple of months in Atlanta at the RWA National convention. :)
Well, the ocean is calling my name & I think I have just enough time for one last walk along the beach...

Live from Daytona!
I'm rooming with Lois Templin, who is one of the American Title Two finalists. Today is the big day for the announcement of who won! Gerri Russell & Ruth Kaufman are the final two and both ladies are awesome & here. I can't wait to squeal with delight at lunch today! Hard to believe it was a year ago when Jane Millionaire was announced as the winner. I swear I floated that entire week. And this year I get to sign Jane at the booksigning...how cool is that???
Well, the beach is calling my name so catch ya later!!

Getting Ready for Romantic Times Convention
It's so difficult to believe that an entire year has passed since I was anxiously awaiting the Romantic Times convention, but it has. Wow. This year a new American Title finalist will be announced. The two remaining finalists, Ruth Kaufman & Gerri Russell, are both fabulous & I can't wait to see the winner's cover unveiled. I'm sure it's going to be awesome as Dorchester does great covers. I was so thrilled with JANE MILLIONAIRE's cover last year. :)
I leave out on Wednesday & won't be back until late on Sunday. This coming week is going to be cram packed with good stuff. I just know it. Tomorrow, my sister & I are cooking dinner for my Mom. We're all going to church with her first, then to her house where we're bringing a surprise meal, plus gifts. :) Tuesday is my daughter's next soft ball game. Today she played two games. Won the first 20 to 7 & the second one 16 to 1. It was an awesome day & the girls played well. They got beat pretty badly their last game (although they're a great team), so it was a good confidence builder day for the girls. :) Was so proud. Then on Wednesday morning I fly out early, land in Orlando, & then on to Daytona. That afternoon I'm on a debut author panel & then Thursday there are some awesome classes & parties. Friday I'm hosting the hospitality suite for a while. Then on Saturday, it's the booksigning & Dorchester's party. :) I'm excited & can't wait. Yeah, the sunshine appeals, too. :)

Ball Season has taken over my life...
Okay, so I rushed straight from work to my son's game, which was delayed by rain, but not canceled. Fortunately my daughter's game which was to start an hour later was canceled due to the downpour. After the rain stopped there was a double rainbow. My daughter took a pic with my cell phone but it didn't turn out--due to the phone's lack of capabilities & not my daughter's (she's awesome!). The rainbow was beautiful and bright. It was a perfect arch & the outside one was a half one.
Perhaps the rainbow was a sign--we won our game tonight. It was the first game my son's team won. Very exciting. :)
The booksigning went great on Saturday. Stephanie Bond was fabulous as always. I got to sign books in between Rhonda Nelson & Stephanie. That was absolutely amazing!! I was a bit intimidated when I saw how many books they had for me to sign/sell, but there were only 4 left at the end of the signing so I was very pleased. :) Above is a photo of the Heart of Dixie chapter members who were at the luncheon--included are greats like Linda Howard, Kelley St. John, Beverly Barton, Linda Winstead Jones, Bonnie Gardner, Debra Webb, Paula Graves, & I'm probably forgetting several. That chapter is TALENT packed!!
Is it just me or does Matthew look fabulous in these jeans????
